It's no secret that life can sometimes feel like a roller coaster ride. We feel like a different person by the end of each phase of your life. The change comes from the many things life ends up teaching us. This change also shapes us as individuals.

But there are times when all that change can make you question things, even yourself, even the things you once believed in with all your heart. At times, you start feeling the weight of all those rejections and failures, and this tends make you feel like you're just not good enough.

But that's where you're wrong. While a little perspective is good, as is failure for character building, don't let it blow out of proportion and become a thing so big you forget who you really are.

You're this amazing, strong person who can deal with anything life throws at you. Never forget that. And if you are doing these 13 things, stop right there.

1. Don't forget your past achievements. They got you where you are today.

2. Stop comparing yourself to others. Every person's journey is different. It may seem like things are taking time to come to you, but, trust the process. Whatever is meant to reach you, will.

3. Stop questioning your choices, and whatever you do, don't ever call them 'mistakes.'

4. Tell your inner critic to take some time off work because you, my friend, have lots of positive energy to make space for.

5. Don't ruin friendships because you feel your friends achieved more than you. Like we said earlier, every person's struggle is unique to them.

6. Don't let negative thinking get in the way of what you really want. And never stop trying. If you have a dream then fight for it even if it means telling that inner voice to shut up.

7. Stop cribbing about things that go wrong. Start believing in the things that can and have gone right.

8. Never stop enjoying your hobbies, no matter how small. Remember that they once gave you pure joy. And it's the little things in life that matter the most.

9. There's good advice, and then there's bad advice. Seek advice from people you trust and who've seen you become the person you are today. Anything less (or anything from random strangers) shouldn't matter.

10. The worst thing you could probably do is isolate yourself from the world to avoid questions. Stay open. And when you do, good things will follow.

Image

11. Don't suffer in your isolation. Don't listen to your inner voice to the point that it stifles the person you really are.

Image

12. Don't stop checking social media because it makes you feel bad about yourself. Change the way you think: let social media help you create a secret wishlist of all the places you want to travel to, or all the things you want in your room.

13. Stop thinking this is the end. It's not. It's the beginning of a fantastic new journey.

Make it a point to surround yourself with positivity: positive people, colours, books that inspire, leaders who pull you up. It's only when you're open to life, life will be open to you and you'll realise you were so wrong in thinking 'you're not good enough.'
