1. Athenian Tetradrachm

This ancient Greek currency, specific to Athens is over 2000 years old. On one side it shows the head of Athena and on the other, the iconographic symbol of the owl of Athena on the reverse. These owls have led to so much popularity and ease of exchangeability that Owls became the first currency to be used as international trade. This coin is presently valued at $1500.


2. 1933 Double Eagle, U.S. 20$ Gold

This coin is both artistic and rare. It shows the Lady Liberty with a torch and an olive branch on one side, and a bald eagle ove a radiant sun on the other end. It was designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, an American sculptor. In 2002, this coin was sold to an anonymous bidder at Sotheby's for an incredible $7,590,020!


3. 1908 Austria 100 Corona

This coin, made of 0.980 ounces of gold was issued to celebrate the 60-year reign of Emperor Franz Joseph I. It is made of 0.980 ounces of gold and shows a regal design of a reclining woman on the reverse. This variety is rare. It was designed by the Austrian sculptor Rudolf Marschall. Maximum value at which Austrian 100 Corona can be obtained is $4000.



4. Bermudan 2 Dollar Note

This banknote is thought to be one of the most beautiful and aesthetically appealing - so much so, that even the International Bank Note Society (IBNS) thinks so. This note is a part of the vertical banknote series introduced in Bermuda in 2009. The note has a predominant Turquoise color which shows the Bermuda Bluebird over a profile of Queen Elizabeth II on the front. On the reverse, it shows the clock tower at Royal Naval Dockyard along with the statue of Neptune. The concept design of the Bermudan Currency's redesign was created by designer Gene Borthwick of De La Rue.



5. Netherlands’ Dutch Guilder Notes

Dutch banknotes are one of the easiest to spot because of their striking designs. This is one of the most popular Dutch Bank Note design and is primarily liked because of its appearance. The Dutch Guilder 250 note, is referred to as the 'lighthouse' and was designed by R>d>E. Oxenaar, a Dutch Graphic artist. The note was replaced by the Euro in 2002.


6. The Cook Islands 10 dollars note

This note isn't acceptable anywhere else in the world and can be used only on the Cook Islands. The Cook Islands primarily use New Zealand dollars, but they do print their own currency as well. This note has exotic Polynesian scenes drawn from their culture.
