In the older times, however, the rich people used to have an obsession with keeping personal hermits. A hermit is a person who is never allowed to leave the garden, wash hair, cut nails or hair. They used to live is the handmade grottos and the owners used to show off their hermits in front of visitors.
10. Mental Hospital As Entertainment’s Source
It is a sad fact that even today mentally sick people are discriminated to some degree. The good part is at least these patients are treated well in psychiatric hospitals. However, this was not always true. They were once a source of entertainment and the staff in hospitals hardly fed them and visitors used to pay willfully the desired amount to the hospital staff just to get a chance to poke them with a stick and mock at them. We are so glad that this inhuman and shameful act has ended for good and never repeats again.
