In addition to his look, his body posture and voice modulation had to be worked upon.
Rajkummar sustained five to six hours of prosthetic everyday to get into his character. In addition to that, his body styling was important. He had to wear chunky metallic accessories and also have tattoos.
Talking about his amiable appearance in the film, Rajkummar said: “It was so much fun as an actor. Dinoo (Dinesh) has a very precise and a clear vision as a director and he gave me a lot of freedom as an actor to explore.”
Rajkummar also told that , “The prosthetics used to take almost five to six hours everyday and then I would start sweating inside all that make-up. It needed quite a bit of patience."
Before this, we have seen looks of Rishi Kapoor in “Kapoor & Sons”, Akshay Kumar in “2.0″ and Amitabh Bachchan and “Paa” among others where prosthetics completely changed the actor.
Directed by Dinesh Vijan and produced by Homi Adajania, “Raabta” also stars Jim Sarbh and is slated to release on June 9.
