Ram Kapoor is one of the most versatile actors that the small screen has produced. One of the very few TV actors who did not bank on their good looks, Ram Kapoor has been able to leave a mark on almost everything he has touched be it on TV or the silver screen. Ram Kapoor was born in the year 1973 in Jalandhar, Punjab. He spent his initial years studying at the reputed boarding school at Nainital, Sherwood College. It was at Sherwood College that Ram Kapoor took baby steps towards becoming an actor, when he was challenged by his head captain to audition for the annual school theatrical production of Charley’s Aunt. Under the direction and guidance of Amir Raza Hussein, Kapoor found his career path and realised his penchant for acting.

Kapoor landed his debut role in the much-acclaimed television show Nyay in 1997. He came into the limelight with the popular family drama Ghar Ek Mandir in 2000. He was noticed by the directors of the tinsel town and started landing himself small but substantial roles in movies like Dhadkan, Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi. After a few misses through late 2000s, 2010 proves to be a stellar year for Ram Kapoor as his two movies, Karthik Calling Karthik and Udaan were huge hits. His role in Udaan received rave reviews. In 2011, he starred in the instantly successful TV show, ‘Bade Ache Lagte Hain’.

Having proven his mettle in both the small as well as silver screen roles, Ram Kapoor demands top wages for is roles. His net worth is estimated to be at US $1.5 million. Sakshi Tanwar was born to a middle-class family hailing from Alwar in Rajasthan. Her father was a CBI officer who had a transferable job. Owing to her father’s job, she found herself constantly on the move throughout her school life and thus ended up studying at quite a few Kendriya Vidyalayas through the country. She graduated from the revered Lady Shree Ram College in Delhi.

After graduating, she aimed to become an Indian Administrative Services Officer and was preparing for the examinations when she decided to audition for a show on Doordarshan, Albela Sur Mera in 1998. To her surprise, she was selected as the presenter for the show. After Albela Sur Mera, she got the major breakthrough with Ekta Kapoor’s show ‘Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii’ where she won the hearts of one and all with her portrayal of Parvati Agarwal. With the show running for 1500+ episodes through 8 years from 2000-08, Sakshi Tanwar was able to leave an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of the fans that she was able to win over. Between 2011 and 2014, she starred opposite her best friend, Ram Kapoor in the super hit series, ‘Bade Ache Lagte Hain’ before came her first major appearance on the silver screen. She was roped in to play the reel role of Daya Kaur, wife of former wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat who was played by Aamir Khan in the blockbuster ‘Dangal’.

Becoming the darling of the masses in ‘Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii’ and ‘Bade Ache Lagte Hain’, Sakshi Tanwar has seen her net worth rise exponentially after starring opposite Aamir Khan in ‘Dangal’. Her current net worth is believed to be upwards of US $2 million. She charges US $1700 per episode for the shows she stars in. She lives in her own flat in Malad in Mumbai close to Goregaon, the area known for being the abode of most of the small screen personalities.
