When traveling abroad, we often visit the famous historical sites of the country we’re traveling, and for the most part, this is often done through a guided tour, taking a few pictures of the sites and then moving on to the next destination. However, for certain people these places are relics of times past, a place where you can touch buildings that were built hundreds, even thousands of years ago, to get inspiration and take pictures that capture the magic of the region. Below are 21 amazing pictures of such places that took part in the "Historic Photographer of the Year" competition, and behind each of them stands a photographer who devoted a great deal their historical passion, and the results are certainly not disappointing.
