The Beauty Of Frozen Baikal Lake In Russia

Lake Baikal, located in southern Siberia on the border with Mongolia is the world’s largest freshwater lake by sheer volume of water, and is the also the deepest lake in the world, reaching nearly 5.400 feet (1646 meters) at its deepest point. The waters of Baikal are famously clear, and as beautiful as it is during the warmer seasons, in winter it becomes a truly magical place. As the lake freezes over, beautiful forms shape in the ice, like some runes in an alien language.
