Today, flying on a plane is a very common experience, and it is statistically safer than riding on a bus. Unfortunately, however, airplanes still have accidents. Delta Flight 1086
This flight took off from Atlanta’s Hartsfield Airport and way heading to New York City. Upon landing in New York’s Laguardia Airport, the plane skidded into a sidewall. Luckily, nobody was killed. There were just minor injuries.
Korea Asiana Airlines Flight 214
This flight left Seoul, South Korea and was heading to San Francisco International Airport, where it crashed. The cause of the crash was found to be pilot error. There were only three fatalities, which is amazing for a crash of this magnitude.
