Tanya had done a professional course in interior designing before getting hitched. She first used her skills by designing furniture for her house out of love than a career ambition. Encouraged by the response, she gained confidence and laid the foundation of her business and setup furniture and home decorator store called ‘The Good Earth’. Soon, she started getting invites for shows for exhibiting her pieces. She started getting orders and since then there has been no looking back for her. Her furniture and home decorator store attracts a number of high-profile clients from Bollywood and fashion industry.
A wide range of furniture and interior decor accessories designed by Tanya is put at display at Twinkle Khanna’s store, White Window, in Bandra, Mumbai. The super talented lady has also designed costumes for the 2005 film ‘Jurm’, and the 2007 film ‘Nanhe Jaisalmer’. Both film featured Bobby Deol as the leading man. Most of her husband’s costumes are designed by her only. She is also planning to launch her new store with the name ‘Jewel in the Forest’. Over the years, Tanya has established herself as a name to reckon with. She is no more just the wife of Bobby Deol. She has her own identity.
