Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan is the son of veteran actors Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. He got married to ex-Miss World and famous actress of Hindi cinema Aishwarya Rai, also known as one of the most beautiful women on earth on April 20, 2007. The wedding ceremonies happened in Mumbai and grabbed the eyeballs of the entire world. Their marriage procession started from Jalsa, a residence of the Bachchans, to Prateeksha, their other house. The wedding was the talk of the entire nation and distinguished personalities graced the occasion. Right after their marriage Aishwarya and Abhishek got an invitation to the ‘Oprah Winfrey Show’. They were said to be more famous than Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt as a couple.
Now, the question is how they fell in love? Who proposed the marriage first? Aishwarya and Abhishek first met while shooting for the film ‘Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke’ in the year 2000. Though the film did not do well in terms of business, their chemistry was liked by the audience. They came together again on-screen in ‘Kuch Naa Kaho’ in the year 2003. At this time, Aish and Abhi were good friends. It is believed that both started having some inclination towards each other while filming the famous song ‘Kajra Re’, in 2005 for the film ‘Bunty Aur Babli’.
However, while shooting for their three films ‘Umrao Jaan’, ‘Dhoom’ and ‘Guru’ in between 2006 and 2007, they got some to spend some good time with each other. While they were attending the premiere of the Mani Ratnam’s ‘Guru’ in Toronto, Abhishek proposed to Aish. She immediately accepted his proposal much to his delight after which the two came back to Mumbai where they had an engagement on January 14, 2007, followed by marriage April 20, 2007. Today they are doting parents to their daughter Aaradhya who was born on 16 November 2011.

But, he was popular as Mr. Casanova in Bollywood before he got hitched with actress Twinkle Khanna, who is the daughter of Dimple Kapadia and Rajesh Khanna, both very famous actors from yesteryears.
