Women have always been integral to Russia’s armed forces, be it the Frontline or behind the line. There are about 160,000 women in the Russian Army right now and that makes around 10% of the total strength of Russia’s military. Women in the United Kingdom are barred from joining the military or any other special force because of the opinion that women lack strength, however, women there have still managed to make contributions to the country’s defense programs. They have taken up a position as technicians, nurses, drivers and more. Once even Queen Elizabeth had donned a military uniform. Now UK has started to make significant changes and is allowing women to participate in the sniper training and take up the roles of RAFand helicopter pilots.
