The Taylor–Burton Diamond is a 68 carats (13.6 g) diamond that became notable when it was purchased by the actors Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor in 1969. Burton and Taylor divorced twice. After the second split, Elizabeth Taylor’s pear shaped diamond was sold to New York jeweler Henry Lambert, for an estimated 5 million in 1978.
