
Shivaji Satam is one of the most respected personalities on the small screen. The legend commands a cult following amongst the masses owing to his long-standing role as ACP Pradyuman on the ever so popular TV series, CID. Shivaji Satam had a humble beginning as he began his career as a bank cashier in the Central Bank of India after having graduated in Physics and then pursuing a diploma in Business Administration. Shivaji on the sidelines, was fond of theatre and his acting prowess was first recognized when he participated in an inter-bank theatre competition.
Shivaji Satam got his breakthrough with the TV show, Rishte Naate way back in 1980. In 1988, he appeared in the TV series, Famous Trials of India on Doordarshan. He then went on to play a significant role in the successful TV series, Ek Shunya Shunya. Along with TV shows, Shivaji Satam started featuring in movies as well, both Hindi as well as Marathi. He broke through into Bollywood with the movie Pestonjee in which he played the role of a doctor. He went on to add movies like China Gate, Daag: The Fire, Suryavansham, Vaastav, Pukar and Viruddh to his repertoire. Despite acting in more than 35 movies, he is well known for his portrayal of ACP Pradyuman in the super hit TV series, CID. The long running show will complete 20 years in January 2018.
