The name of this dish is classic. Known as “Buddah Jumps Over the Wall Soup” this dish made it to the Guinness World of Records for being the most expensive bowl of soup in the world. Served at the prestigious Kai Mayfair hotel in London, you’ll need to order this masterpiece at least five days in advance, and it will set you back a cool $170.
The Buddha Jumps Over the Wall soup originally contained sharks’ fin, abalone, Japanese flower mushroom, dried scallops, sea cucumber, huan ham, chicken, pork and ginseng. The shark’s fin has now been dropped.
18. Joel Robuchon’s – $235 L’Oeuf de Poule (Las Vegas)

This dish is not cheap, but is apparently one of a kind and delicious. It consists of a poached Japanese egg, with spinach and clotted cream mouse. This sublime dish is complimented by the subtle spices and flavorings in it, and is truly a culinary wonder.
